None of it is written down anywhere. It still works.
The need is not new. What has been missing is connection.
Culturis is an Ottawa company building an ecosystem of platforms, with the first thought of how each one serves Caribbean, Black Canadian and mixed heritage communities. Everything we build is open to everyone, and designed so that the people who are usually left out are the starting point.
We work with partners, practitioners and businesses already doing the work, finding ways to integrate with what they run rather than replace it, and building new pathways to access, visibility and opportunity together.
Culturis is based in Ottawa, Ontario, and serves communities across Canada.

Culturis is a family of platforms, each made for a specific need and strong on its own. Each is also made to connect, locally and across the work, so what starts on one carries on to the next.
Care that understands more than symptoms. Practitioners across Canada, searchable by language, cultural background, and specialty, who recommend and refer across to one another so the person in the middle stays held from one appointment to the next.

The site opens in November. Events begin in spring, and local studios run by community wellness teams follow in 2027.

Not something you join. Something you build within.
In Caribbean culture, the hummingbird carries meaning beyond its size. It moves constantly, connecting spaces, carrying energy, and sustaining what exists around it. Not by force, but by presence.
Culturis is built on that same philosophy. Not to replace what already exists, but to connect what has been missing: flow where there was friction, connection where there was distance, access where there were barriers.
Growth, when it happens this way, is not forced. It builds naturally, through trust, participation, and shared progress.
The people
Some things are visible only by their absence. A wellness practitioner whose name passes only by word of mouth. A small business that grew without ever appearing in a directory. A funding program written for communities that do not quite fit its forms.
Beneath the visible network runs another one, held together by trust, by memory, by the relationships the official systems never recorded. Culturis was built to be that network's infrastructure: to make what people carry privately become visible, and to move connection from workaround to architecture.
Every platform is made with intention, not only to work on its own but to connect into something larger.

Culturis is not built in isolation. It grows through collaboration, with partners who share a vision for culturally grounded access, creativity, and opportunity.
With VigaBit Games, Culturis is expanding into game creation, with experiences designed to teach without feeling like teaching, grounded in real life, real decisions, and real world thinking.
The goal is to create pathways where creativity, culture, and learning intersect, giving younger generations new ways to see themselves and what they can build.
Partnership usually means one of three things: building something together, as with VigaBit; bringing your members or clients onto a platform that already runs; or sponsoring a platform so it stays free to the people who need it. If none of those is quite it, say so and we will work out what fits.
